1969 Ferrari 365 GTC (by Pininfarina)

Representing the final evolution of Ferrari’s successful 330 GTC, this elegant grand tourer was produced from late 1968 through 1970 before model updates brought its brief run to a close.

Distinguished from its predecessor by repositioned engine bay cooling vents that moved from the front wings to the bonnet, the refined Pininfarina styling maintained the graceful proportions that made the 330 series so appealing.

The enlarged 4.4-liter Colombo V12 delivered substantial improvements over the previous 4.0-liter unit, providing increased torque at medium revs and more responsive acceleration for continental touring.

Fed by six Weber twin-choke carburetors, the single overhead camshaft engine produced 320 horsepower. The rear-mounted five-speed transaxle contributed to a balanced 50:50 weight distribution.

With only 168 examples built between late 1968 and 1970, the 365 GTC stands among Ferrari’s rarest models of the period. It holds the distinction of being the last Ferrari announced with a single overhead camshaft V12 before the company transitioned to more complex valve arrangements.
