1967 Maserati Sebring 3700 GT Series II

Evolving from the elegant 3500 GT, this Italian grand tourer represented Maserati’s sophisticated approach to high-performance luxury motoring.

Giovanni Michelotti’s design at Vignale transformed the original concept with distinctive quadruple headlights flanking a bold grille topped by Maserati’s traditional Trident emblem. The Series II featured revised styling elements including new side vents on the front fenders, horizontal chrome bumper bars, and reshaped horizontal tail lamps.

Built on a tubular steel frame with a steel 2+2 coupé body, the car combined structural integrity with refined aesthetics. The 3,692cc DOHC inline six-cylinder engine produced 265 horsepower through Lucas indirect mechanical fuel injection, paired with a ZF five-speed manual transmission. This powerplant enabled a top speed of approximately 149 mph (240 km/h).

Only 98 Series II examples were produced from the total 446 Sebring coupés built between 1962 and 1968, making this variant particularly rare.

With a contemporary US list price of $12,800, it positioned itself as a premium grand routier rather than a lightweight sports car.
