This bird’s fluffy crest is so large that it can completely hide its eyes.

The Gloster Canary is one of the most distinctive domestic canary breeds in the world. Its round body and soft feather “hairstyle” give it an almost toy-like appearance, especially in crested individuals where the feathers curve forward over the face like a tiny hood.

That’s why people often joke, “Where are its eyes?” — because from certain angles, they seem to disappear entirely beneath the dense plumage. Despite the funny look, these birds remain active, cheerful singers with the bright personality canaries are known for.

A tiny ball of feathers with hidden eyes, yet one of the most charming songbirds ever bred by humans.
