This bird creates a deep whooshing sound with its massive wings that can be heard surprisingly far through Asian rainforests.

The Wreathed Hornbill is famous for its huge curved bill and bright throat pouch, especially in males. These birds spend most of their lives high in the forest canopy searching for fruit, figs, and small animals.

During nesting season, the female seals herself inside a tree cavity with mud while the male delivers food through a narrow opening for weeks.
