1954 Fiat 8V Berlinetta Series II

The Fiat 8V stunned the automotive world at its 1952 Geneva debut, with leading magazines hailing it as a surprising departure for Italy’s largest automaker. This lightweight supercar featured a 2.0-liter narrow-angle V8 engine capable of 120+ mph, advanced chassis by Siata, and innovative features like independent suspension and stressed unibody construction.

Only 114 examples were built between 1952 and 1954, with 63 bodied in-house by Fiat’s Special Bodies Department under designer Fabio Rapi. The 8V dominated Italian GT racing, winning its class championship six consecutive years (1954-1959), with Elio Zagato achieving a notable victory at the 1954 Coppa Inter-Europa at Monza.
