This bird is the heaviest flying bird in Africa.

The Kori Bustard slowly walks across African grasslands hunting insects, reptiles, and small animals. Despite its massive size, it can still take flight with enormous wings. Nearby, bright Carmine Bee-eaters often ride on its back, catching insects disturbed by the giant bird’s footsteps.

A walking giant of the savanna, yet part of one of nature’s coolest partnerships.
