1977 Ferrari 400 GT
In the 1970s, while Ferrari was renowned for sports cars like the 308 and 512 BB, it also developed a successful grand tourer line. The 400 GT, introduced at the 1976 Paris Motor Show, replaced the 365 GT4 2+2. Built with Pininfarina-made steel bodies and fiberglass floors, it featured an upgraded 4.8-liter Colombo V12 engine producing 340 hp.
The 400 GT could reach 60 mph in just over 7 seconds and was the last Ferrari to use the legendary Colombo V12. Only 502 were made, with just 147 featuring the manual transmission. Visual updates included a modified front spoiler, simplified taillights, and new magnesium alloy wheels replacing the previous Borrani knock-offs.
