These two birds work together like unlikely brothers of the sky.

The Black Vulture has an excellent sense of smell and can locate carrion with surprising accuracy, while the Crested Caracara is more skilled at watching and competing for food once it’s found. Because their strengths complement each other, they’re often seen feeding side by side — and sometimes even preening one another like close companions.

A partnership built on survival, yet one of the most fascinating friendships in the wild.
