The Southern White-faced Owl lives in the savannas and woodlands of Africa, where its pale face and huge orange eyes glow in the dark. When threatened, it stretches its body into a narrow shape to look less noticeable among tree branches.
A master of nighttime disguise, yet one of Africa’s most expressive little owls.
