1935 Riley 9HP Imp Two-Seater Sports

Powered by a 1,087cc OHV inline-4 engine producing 48bhp through twin SU carburetors, the Riley Imp featured a Wilson pre-selector transmission and four-wheel drum brakes. The chassis had a 7’6″ wheelbase, underslung at the rear, with semi-elliptic leaf spring suspension. The Imp’s innovative engine design featured twin gear-driven cams and crossflow combustion chambers. With its graceful long hood, flowing wings, and short tail, the Imp stood out among economy sports cars of its time, representing one of the most attractive small sports cars of the 1930s.
