This bird looks as if a rainbow landed on the forest floor.

The Fairy Pitta is a brilliantly colored forest bird found across parts of East and Southeast Asia during the breeding season. It spends much of its time hopping through leaf litter, searching for earthworms, insects, and small invertebrates hidden beneath the forest floor.

A fleeting jewel of the woodland, bringing a burst of color to the quiet shadows beneath the trees.
