Why are people so inhuman?
This kitten had been hit by a vehicle and was lying in the middle of the road in Hope Cove, Kingsbridge (TQ7).
So many cars passed by without stopping.

When I finally reached him and checked, he had already passed away.

I keep asking myself—why do people see something like this and still drive on?
Maybe if someone had taken him to a veterinary clinic at the moment he was hit, his life could have been saved.

I was on an urgent journey and already running late.
Still, I couldn’t just leave him there on the road.

I gently moved him to the side of the road, placed the lily flowers I had with me beside his little body as a final sign of respect, and gave money to a man who was working nearby. I asked him to make sure this kitten received a proper farewell. I also gave him my phone number and requested an update with photos.

If I hadn’t been so rushed, I would have taken him myself and laid him to rest with dignity.

Why did so many people pass him by?
Was it because he was a stray cat?

But every life wants to live.
Every soul longs for love, warmth, and kindness.

Rest in peace, little one.
You mattered. 🕊️🐾
