This tiny bird looks as though it was painted with bright tropical colors.

The Blue-faced Parrotfinch inhabits grasslands, forest edges, and open woodlands across parts of Southeast Asia and the Pacific. It feeds mainly on grass seeds, figs, and small fruits, using its strong bill to crack tough seeds while moving quietly through dense vegetation.

A vibrant jewel of the tropics, bringing flashes of color to the green world around it.
