I am really unsure what to do. We had markers put in place for when we would decide ‘the time has come.’ However my vet has said she doesn’t think he’ll show the usual signs. We had said that if Pablo didn’t eat for 2 or more days, couldn’t clean himself or use the litter tray then we would make the decision. His bloods are off the charts and therefore we decided to no longer have bloods done as it was stressing him out. He was having b12 weekly up until a week ago, but he hated going to the vets. He has sub Q at home 2-3 times a week and tolerates it well. He is eating and drinking fine, albeit he has recoactiv liquid, goats milk, phos binder, no meds, potassium and myos muscle as well as porus one. He likes to eat my other cats food too lol. But his weight has plummeted to 2.7kg in just 5 months and he looks sad. He still seeks out cuddles and strokes, moves around find and fights me for cat treats.
My question is everyone keeps telling me he looks like it’s time. I don’t want to be a day too late but I feel there is still quality of life.
Any thoughts? This is him today.
