This tiny bird looks like a handful of colors woven together.

The Varied Bunting is a small songbird of Mexico and the southwestern United States, especially in dry scrublands and thorny habitats. During the breeding season, the male develops an extraordinary mix of purple, blue, red, and pink plumage, while the female remains much more subtly colored. It quietly searches the ground and low vegetation for seeds and insects, often staying hidden among dense shrubs.

A miniature masterpiece of the desert edge, proving that even the harshest landscapes can produce breathtaking colors.
