The Greater Roadrunner is a remarkable ground-dwelling bird of the deserts and scrublands of the southwestern United States and Mexico. Capable of running at impressive speeds, it hunts lizards, snakes, insects, small mammals, and even other birds. It can also tackle surprisingly large prey, using its powerful bill and quick reflexes to survive in some of the harshest landscapes.
A fearless sprinter of the desert, proving that not every bird needs to take to the skies to become an incredible hunter.
