This week, we adopted a sweet senior ginger tuxedo boy from a local cat café. He wasn’t seeking attention—just quietly keeping to himself, trying to avoid the chaos of people and other cats. But the moment I reached out my hand, he pressed his big head right into it, asking for love instead of hiding from it.

I hadn’t planned on adopting an older cat, especially not after losing our beloved 18-year-old boy last month. But sometimes, your heart just knows when it’s time. My husband and kiddo agreed—this gentle giant belonged with us.

Now, his deep, rumbling purrs fill our home again. He’s still adjusting, taking his time, but every purr feels like a promise that he’s found peace and love again.
