Being born as a stray cat is not a blessing in any country.
I found this cat today while I was rushing somewhere urgently. She had been hit and was lying on the road. Before me, many vehicles must have passed her by. Even the vehicle that hit her didn’t stop to look back.
If she had been taken to a vet immediately after the accident, there might have been a chance to save her. But because she was a stray cat, maybe no one felt that responsibility.
I stopped my car and gently moved her to the side of the road using a piece of cloth I had in the vehicle. At that moment, that was all I could do.
If there had been even the slightest sign of life left in her, I would have dropped everything and taken her straight to a vet.
Even now, my heart hasn’t recovered from what I witnessed today.
