It was late at night, and the world was quiet—until a desperate, crying sound shattered the silence. A man, startled from his sleep, couldn’t ignore the plea. He got up, his heart pounding, and stepped outside to investigate.
The cry led him to an abandoned house, dark and foreboding. Without a light, he ventured inside, his footsteps echoing on the cold floor. And there, in the shadows, he found her: a tiny kitten, all alone.

The kitten was terrified. She tried to scurry away, but she was too weak. He caught her easily, cradling her small, trembling body in his hands. And then he saw it—the reason for her distress. Her bottom was soiled. She had pooped herself, and there was no mother to clean her.
He gasped, realizing the depth of her abandonment. This tiny creature had been left to fend for herself, and she was failing. Without hesitation, he decided to take her home.

A New Beginning
Back in the warmth of his home, the man gently wiped her clean with tissues. He had prepared a small cage, a safe haven for her. To his relief, she began to eat. That simple act filled him with hope—it meant she had a chance to survive.
She was so young, probably born only days ago. She still needed her mother, but her mother had abandoned her. The man became her only lifeline. And surprisingly, the kitten was unusually cooperative. She took all the medicine he offered without a fight.
The next morning, a transformation had begun. The kitten was much more energetic, her eyes brighter. The man decided it was time for a vet visit. She wasn’t thrilled about the health exam—who would be?—but it was necessary.
The vet discovered that she had parasites in her body. It was a serious condition, but treatable. The kitten was given medicine and had to stay overnight for observation. The man promised he would come back for her soon.
