1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan (Vietnam Veteran Tribute Restomod)

Known as “Backseat Bettie,” this 1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan has been extensively modified as a tribute to Vietnam veterans, built on a custom chassis with a chopped roofline and lowered stance.

The exterior wears military olive drab paint, and the overall presentation draws deliberately from wartime aviation and ground-force hardware.

The original Ford drivetrain is long gone. Power comes from a Chevrolet 350 CI small-block V-8 running open exhaust headers, backed by a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. A vintage joystick serves as the shifter.

Inside, the military theme is carried through with full commitment: an aviation yoke replaces the steering wheel, bomber-style seats replace the original bench, and a panel of vintage gauges (including a functioning altimeter and airspeed indicator) takes the place of conventional instrumentation. A .50 caliber machine gun is mounted above the engine bay.

Proceeds from the sale benefit Operation Healing Forces, a non-profit supporting Special Operations Forces veterans and their families.
