Where is the father bird when the mother is always in the nest? He’s not gone — he’s working behind the scenes.
In many species, the male spends most of his time flying out to find food, then returning to feed both the mother and the chicks, while also keeping watch from nearby perches to warn of danger; in some cases, he even takes turns incubating the eggs or helps raise the young directly.

Of course, there are exceptions — some males do very little, while others take on most of the parenting — but if you don’t see him, chances are he’s out there providing, protecting, and keeping the family alive. 🐦✨
