1916 Pierce-Arrow 48 Phaeton

1909 to 1920 was considered to be Pierce-Arrow’s “golden age”. The brand offered three models: 38, 48, and 66 hp, all of exceptional quality but differing in size. The 66 featured the largest production car engine at 825ci. The 48 model featured a 525ci six-cylinder engine with a four-speed transmission. By 1915, Pierce added a complete instrument cluster and self-starting system. Known for their in-house bodywork, custom-bodied Pierce-Arrows are rare and highly sought after.
