It’s not every day that siblings from the same litter get the chance to stay together.
But when they do, it’s nothing short of a blessing.
Growing up alongside a sibling, sharing those unique moments, and playing the way only siblings can is something truly special for dogs.
Norman and Annabelle, two lucky pups, had the fortune to grow up side by side, never knowing life without each other.
From the moment they were just tiny babies inside their mommy, they’ve been inseparable.
Born on Friday the 13th, a day often linked with bad luck, these two were clearly destined to defy the odds.
Norman and Annabelle came into the world under a shining star of fortune, and their touching story is proof of it.
The Fortunate Friday The 13th Pups
Bobby Keane and Danni -his wife, from Maryland, knew that their lives were about to change in a big way.
Why, you ask?
Because they took in a pregnant Pitbull girl who was just a week away from giving birth.
The couple realized the immense responsibility ahead, but they couldn’t stand by and not help the mother and her unborn puppies. So, they opened their home to her, giving her a safe place to bring her babies into the world.
One week later, a litter of 12 puppies made their grand entrance into their new Maryland home.
Taking care of one dog is already a challenge, but can you imagine the whirlwind of raising a dozen tiny furballs along with their mama?
Bobby and Danni initially decided they wouldn’t keep any of the puppies. But as anyone who’s ever looked into the eyes of a puppy knows, that’s easier said than done. Some of those little bundles of joy were just too adorable to let go of.
Enter Norman and Annabelle, the best friends who stole their hearts.
As it often goes, boys tend to bond with their mommies, and little girls become daddy’s favorites. Norman quickly formed a connection with Danni and her daughter, while Annabelle picked a different family member.
Since she was just three weeks old, Annabelle chose her human dad, Bobby, as her special person. Their bond was sealed one night when Annabelle curled up on Bobby’s shoulder and fell asleep.
From that moment on, Bobby’s shoulder became Annabelle’s go-to napping spot.
“One night, when Annabelle was three weeks old, Bobby picked her up and put her on his shoulder, and she fell asleep. It became a regular thing after that. They bonded in that moment. He’s never tried to stop her from doing it. There will be times when she gets a little overbearing, and he makes her move until she calms down, but once she does, she comes back and falls asleep on his shoulder.”, said Danni.
That sweet moment turned into a habit that has lasted years.
Even though Annabelle is now over 50 pounds, she still loves to sleep on her dad’s shoulder.
Proving that no matter how big she gets, she’ll always be daddy’s little girl.
Bobby and Danni never set out to make their dogs famous. In fact, they weren’t even big on social media. But as life would have it, one thing led to another, and the short videos they took of their pups quickly captured the hearts of people all over.
“We never know what is going to go viral, LOL. We have never been social media people, and we never would have thought we’d be running a social media account for our dogs, but here we are. We don’t take it too seriously. We do it for fun. It’s our way of making a video diary of sorts of our lives with our dogs. It’s something sweet we will be able to look back on once they’ve passed.”
Their three-year-old “Little Monsters,” as they’re affectionately called on Instagram and TikTok, have amassed quite the fanbase. Every little thing these dogs do turns into a viral moment, with people eagerly following their daily adventures.
Whether it’s chasing a giant ball
or simply giving dad a helping paw while he works, the internet can’t get enough of these two adorable pups.
“Their day-to-day lives are pretty structured. They are still pretty young and have a lot of energy, so we do mental stimulation activities with them every day. We also like to take them on adventures, whether it’s going to a park, hiking trail, or renting a SniffSpot.”
Norman and Annabelle truly are the luckiest pups. With such loving and devoted human parents, they’ve grown into caring and joyful dogs, perfect examples of what it means to be part of a family. This American Bully duo couldn’t be happier, and it’s all thanks to the love and care they receive from Bobby and Danni.
