Found by a compassionate samaritan and brought to CACC, Kirby’s journey to recovery began. Initial medical evaluations, including an ultrasound and blood work, showed no immediate cause for his dire state, leaving veterinarians puzzled but determined to help.

A New Beginning: Foster Care and Healing

After thirteen days of intensive care, Kirby was released from the hospital. His next chapter unfolded in the loving embrace of a foster home, under the care of ‘Mama A,’ a dedicated team leader. This transition marked a crucial turning point in his healing process.

Gaining Strength, Gaining Life

The transformation was remarkable. Kirby began eating four times a day, a sign of his returning appetite and improving health. He steadily gained weight, adding seven pounds and continuing to grow stronger. His gums, once pale, started to regain their healthy pink hue, a visible indicator of his recovery.
