Sad Pit Bull Found Tied To Neighbor’s Tree with Owner’s Emotional Farewell Note

Rescue Group Steps In to Save Dog Abandoned During Hard Times

These are indeed difficult times, and many individuals are faced with challenging decisions. Regrettably, some of these choices are adversely impacting our cherished pets, with an increasing number of dogs being left at shelters or abandoned on the streets.

Shelters across the country are overwhelmed with pets that have been surrendered or left behind.

A Heartbreaking Decision.

It’s heartbreaking to consider, but some people feel they can no longer care for their pets. The story I’m about to share perfectly exemplifies this struggle.

In Orlando, Florida, a man found himself in dire financial circumstances and reached a point where he could no longer provide for his beloved pit bull, Lincoln.

In a moment of desperation, he made the heart-wrenching decision to tie Lincoln to his neighbor’s tree under the cover of night.

Alongside this painful act, he left a note revealing his difficult circumstances and pleading with the neighbor to look after his beloved companion:

“I am heading to California to be with my mother and brother during this pandemic. Please take care of Lincoln or find him a good home. I trust you with my baby. I’m so sorry.”

Hope in Dark Times

Sadly, the neighbor was unable to keep Lincoln, but fortunately, a local rescue organization, The Pittie Party of Central Florida (TPPCF), stepped in to help.

A dedicated volunteer named Mayson Jones took Lincoln into her home, surrounding him with love and plenty of playtime. Although he missed his owner, Lincoln’s tail still wagged with joy, and his playful spirit shone through.

Fortunately, amidst the sadness of this story, there is a ray of hope. A compassionate woman named Melanie Anderson saw Lincoln’s plight and chose to care for him until he could find his forever home. Now, he enjoys joyful boat rides and blissful sunny naps with his loving foster family.

A Call for Compassion

Regrettably, Lincoln’s story is all too common. Shelters are facing significant challenges, and countless dogs are being abandoned or surrendered.

TPPCF, along with other rescue organizations, is reaching out for help. They are seeking compassionate foster families who can open their hearts and homes to homeless dogs in need.

The rescue organization covers all expenses, providing everything necessary for foster families to care for the dogs. As they expressed on Facebook:

“We could never accomplish our mission without the unwavering dedication and commitment of foster families. These remarkable individuals are the confirmed heroes of rescue!”

By fostering a dog, you not only create a saven for a deserving animal but also assist shelters in making space for more pets in need. Additionally, you might find yourself falling in love and providing a dog with a forever home!
