We have 2 cats already, but I guess 3 is the magic number…Where we live there is a huge stray cat problem.
Me and my neighbor feed the strays but we are by a busy road so its only been the same 3 feral cats since my husband and I moved in a year ago. About a month ago an orange tabby appeared on the hood of our car (we park our car right under the living room window) he was looking in at us crying. Id assumed he’d heard the words we had food so I went out to feed them. Its been getting cold so | put warmed broth over the cat food so they could have warmed food. He completely ignored the food and went straight to me for pets. Ever since then he has been crying at our window, following us wherever we went outside, attempting to bolt into our house when we opened the door, scratching at our door, he once snuck into my car and (unknown to me until I was halfway there) rode with me to the grocery store. Eventually as temperature declined my husband and I finally caved and is now in our home in bathroom quarantine until the vet can look at him to ensure the safety of our other two cats. We weren’t looking for a third but a third found us and was very pushy about it.
Unlike most cats with a change of environment he was almost releaved happy and purring in his little bathroom paradise. He even does tippy taps like standing kneading and chirps when we go into the bathroom.
