This hornbill’s towering casque makes it one of the most recognizable birds in Sulawesi.

The Knobbed Hornbill is found only in the forests of Sulawesi and nearby Indonesian islands. Feeding mainly on figs and other fruits, it also eats insects and small animals while playing a vital role in dispersing seeds across the rainforest.

A magnificent guardian of the treetops, carrying the future of the forest with every flight.
