The Vulturine Guineafowl is the largest and most striking of all guineafowl, native to the dry savannas of East Africa. Its vivid blue chest, long white-and-black striped feathers, and bare vulture-like head give it a truly prehistoric appearance. These highly social birds travel in large flocks, working together to find seeds, insects, and small animals while keeping watch for danger.
